Brave Children : Stories From Around The World

                 This is a program about remarkable children who inspire strength, character,

             tolerance, and understanding. All ages

African American Stories, Songs and Games

             Fun, interactive folktales, rhythms, and rhymes from African American culture and             tradition.  All ages

Folktales From West Africa— Anansi 

             These tales are told in the African Oral Tradition. They include song and dance with         audience participation. All ages

Shivers, Whispers, and Bumps in the Night

             Old time ghost tales, songs, and poems from Appalachia. Fun and not too scary stories.  All ages

Beyond the Grave

             Spirits, ghosts, unsolved mysteries, and murder fill this evening program. This

             program includes stories from Mexico, Russia, Ireland, and Africa. Adult

Brer Tales

             This is a collection of long treasured trickster tales. Brer Rabbit is  resourceful, ingenious  and cunning. Guaranteed to enchant and delight. All ages

 

Theater Programs:

Theater performances focus on portrayal of one character.  A stage provides the best venue.

 

General Moses - Stories from the Life of Harriet Tubman

                 A portrayal of the leader of the Underground Railroad. All ages

Behind Enemy Lines—Civil War 1863

A portrayal of Harriet Tubman as a Union Army leader during the Civil War.

Harvest of Dreams  - Voices To Remember

                 A collection of African American poetry, prose and song. 9th grade and up

They Call Me Miss Memphis

                 A portrayal of Mrs. Memphis Tennessee Garrison, a West Virginian Civil Rights activist and community leader. 9th grade and up
